Climate Problems

Two climate problems happening right now are global warming and habitats of animals are melting away. Global warming is causing most of the problems in todays climate, from heating up the planet to changing the ocean currents. Global warming is also causing the other problem of animals habitats being ruined. Creatures like the polar bears have less and less land they can live on.

Project Progress

We have not come very far in our project. We know what we want to do, and how we'll go about doing it. I've made the posters to put around the school, we just need to write about our project.

The Equinox

The Fall and Spring Equinox happen when wherever you are on the Earth, you have the same amount of daylight and night time

Green Wish 2

Another wish I'd like to have is for our school to save on energy. We could ask all the teachers to lower their usage of lighting and fans/appliances. The students could open up the blinds for sunlight so they can still see what they're doing.

Green Projects

I read about two different projects from Earth Force. One was about students from Holland, PA. They tried a "dark day" where they used minimal lighting and air conditiong to save energy costs. Another story was about an elementary school who wasted a lot of lunch food. They found out it was because the kids wanted to get to recess faster. They proposed to put recess before lunch so they wouldn't waste the food.
